14 days later I still hadn’t heard anything, still no money taken from my account and still no news on my camera. I contacted support again who said I should have contacted them BEFORE the 14 days were up so they could follow up on my order. I asked them to check their records as that is exactly what I did, on 6th December. For this mishap they shipped me a free handler (which by some miracle arrived 2 days later). Still no news on the camera but I was assured an escalation was placed on my case so I trusted the process.
Worst of all that is they have pre-authorization over the payments (means I don't have access to that money for the time). I urged them to get into it as I could use that money for the trip I have coming up (remember it was the money of two orderings). They told me then that they don't have a direct contact to their finance department and are not allowed to give me information about how to reach them. They just told me it should take like 2 days for them to deny the payment. It's been 4 days now and still nothing. No money back, no product, no reasons why all that happened and how to fix it. I mean why would a customer service not have contact to like any department within the company?! WORST purchasing experience I've ever had. Regarding customer-service they have to learn and improve like a LOT (should take Amazon, Zappos etc. as a role-model, as they're really concerned about customer experience and in solving your issue).
If you were hoping for some more practical updates, like improved battery life, then there's not really any news here. While the Hero 8 has an updated battery, it's still 1,220mAh as before. (The difference is that it offers a higher max output, which is needed for some of the new features.) The end result is still the same old "hour or so" of active use. If you're only shooting moments here or there, that's typically going to see you through a few hours of turning it on, off, tapping around and, of course, shooting.

GoPro is leading the charge toward consumer-created virtual reality (VR) environments, and their first VR-ready cameras make it happen with what they’ve dubbed “spherical capture,” which is pretty accurate, given the 360° field of view they record. VR is still a nascent technology, but it’s definitely the future. If you’re an early adopter, you’ll want to pick up a GoPro with spherical capture.
and today my contact with agent support give me comment - I can not find Your cases numbers??? I got every transcript from my chat. now it's time to go to police, as this comapny took 300+euros, and don't even care about return them. no proof of transaction, every agent put some "note, urgent flag" on this case, yet noone give a s... about it. I did not recive any update!

Is GoPro Audio good?

If you're lamenting the lack of hardware upgrades, the Hero 8 still has something for you. Alongside the new camera, GoPro is announcing a line of "mod" accessories, similar to Motorola's Moto Mods. At time of writing, these include a Media mod (a frame with shotgun mic built in, HDMI connectivity, 3.5mm audio in and two cold shoes); a light mod (200 lumens, tuned for video); and a Display mod that adds a fold-out screen so you can frame yourself while looking at the camera. (As a bonus, it has its own battery built-in.) Mods will cost between $49 and $79 each.

Does GoPro record sound?

Editor’s note: The GoPro Hero 5 Black has now been discontinued following GoPro’s announcement of the new Hero 7 range. GoPro did tell us there might “still be some retail inventory of previous cameras”, so it’s possible you’ll be still able to find the GoPro Hero 5 Black on offer. If you want a newer equivalent, then GoPro’s new Hero 7 Silver is the closest model you can get. We’ll bring you a full review of that very soon.
Frankly, we’re not bothered by the lack of 4K or high frame rates. For what action cameras are typically tasked with, 1080p is just fine — it’s the content that matters, not the pixels. Yes, we enjoy having the option for 4K when it’s there, but if you’re a casual user, you probably don’t need to worry about this. What’s more, 1080p means you can fit more footage onto the same MicroSD card, and it will take up less space on your phone or computer when you transfer it. This isn’t just a positive side-effect; it could be a real advantage for some users — the same users who would choose to set their Hero5 or Hero6 cameras to 1080p mode for this reason.

Do you need a filter for GoPro underwater?

Typically, each year's flagship GoPro touts a marquee feature. In the past, that's included 4K/30fps video (Hero 4), built-in waterproofing (Hero 5) and really good stabilization (Hero 7). The new Hero 8 Black ($399) does not have a single showstopping feature. Instead, it brings several updates, each of which is good on its own, but together, I think they add up to the sort of big step forward that fans of the brand have been waiting for. There's actually quite a lot to get through, so we'll dive right into what's new.
Then there's LiveBurst, GoPro's twist on Google's Motion Photo, or Apple's Live Photo. Simply put, it starts taking photos and once you press the shutter it captures 1.5 seconds worth of images before and after you clicked. In this context "1.5 seconds" refers to the three-second video clip you'll be presented with (made up of 90 photos). You can view them as a clip or scrub through them to find the best photo, either in the app or on the camera.
I have bought gopro hero8 and from the box it has major difficulty connecting with my iphone 11pro.. i have purchased PLUS membership to be dealt with quicker.. no such thing for over a week i am trying to rich the support, it always gives me message that all agents are busy and try again later. like.. Also they DID called me back the first time around i've posted same issue i've been trying to get resolved daily.. after 16 hours where it was 7:30 am in UK where I'm based. I should have really go for osmo action instead. GoPro has no acccessible product support now i'm stuck cant even contact them for a refund. Can GoPro hero 7 take pictures?

To get right to the point of my writing: I can't give you a definite answer. What I can definitely tell you right now is that we are to focus on the GoPro HERO4 and HERO3+'s (and I will touch base on a few HERO2 and original 3's as well), as it is the best technology and provides options for numerous consumers. With the recent announcement of the HERO4's especially, we'll tackle the main features of those to help you decide if that hefty price is worth it.

The brand new Hero 4's are even more powerful, hence the hefty price of 5 bills with the HERO4 black. They come in either a Black or Silver Edition; however, there's also a new budget-friendly choice called the "HERO" which has some essential features to work with at around $130. I love the fact that GoPro brought this into the market to give us a choice -- i'll be buying a few of my friends one for Christmas.
