This is the best single-lens action cam you can get from GoPro at the moment in features and performance. Compared with the Hero 7 Black, there are a lot of feature tweaks and updates that make it just generally easier to use and a better camera, regardless of what you're shooting. But for those who use a GoPro regularly, things like the redesigned waterproof body that allows you to attach the camera directly to GoPro mounts, a customizable interface with shooting presets and improved image stabilization all add up to a worthwhile update. I am so disappointed at GoPro, they have the worst customer care, with multiple frauds, including the 24hrs contact support for GoPro plus customers which is fake. Refund Frauds I experienced, they claim PayPal payment takes 30 days to refund, which PayPal has denied and said the refund should be instant. Inefficient administration costed me lots of time and money wasted on talking to them trying to resolve issues made by them. Delayed delivery. Untraceable order ID.
QuikStories is GoPro’s answer to the question of what do you do with all of the footage, time-lapse sequences, and photos you took from your last adventure. To use the feature, you’ll first need to install the additional GoPro Quik app (find it on iOS or Android). Quik can see all of the videos and photos on your phone — whether they were shot on your GoPro or not — and will create an automatic edit that combines them into something easily consumable in your Facebook or Instagram feed. You can set some basics, like the mood and duration, and the app handles the rest.

The result is a camera that puts creativity first -- and that's ultimately what you're spending $399 for. The advent of mods to expand the hardware (albeit with an additional cost) should also mean you get more use out of the Hero 8 over time.
The HERO4's come with only a few mounts and do not come with Wi-Fi accessories because it's built-in! If you're looking at getting a brand new GoPro and the best of the best, the HERO4 is what you need to look at. In our opinion, the Black Edition at $500 retail is a bit steep and is geared more towards movie makers and professional studios. What we found interesting was the fact that the Silver Edition has a built-in LCD but the Black does not. Is this important to you? Also, the 4K cinema at 30fps with the Black Edition is crazy; however, it eats up a lot of battery. The Silver Edition films in perfect 1080p which is the standard for most playback devices, so going with the Silver as opposed to the Black is more recommended in our opinion.

You can't speak directly to them you have to request a call back which tells you within 2-5 mins your lucky if you get a call back the same day it's usually a day later. Would not recommend anyone buy from them . Customer service is nil, and when you do speak to someone they are like robots and think the situation is funny and laugh down the phone. Not happy. Doing something for a living isn't always fun.. who knew. That's why that bullshit, do something you love and you'll never work a day is complete bullshit. If you are an artist and got a job drawing, you'll still hate it because you have to draw what you're told to or draw what sells. Not just what you want. I loved computers, I'd tinker on them day and night in college. And i got a job in tech, been doing it for a couple of decades and it's a job. I don't tinker on computers anymore, I don't even build my own rigs because I don't want to waste the time.
To be clear, we’re not actually disappointed with the lack of options — just their presentation. If you’re an absolute beginner and, say, you want to make a time-lapse video, not having a choice over the shooting interval is a good thing. It’s liberating. Just put it into time-lapse mode and call it good. Experienced users know how to calculate the proper interval based on the total duration of the shot, the playback frame rate of the video, and the final runtime they want to end up with (yes, using math — gross). But if you just want a quick and fun time-lapse, you shouldn’t have to worry about any of that.
