I am so disappointed at GoPro, they have the worst customer care, with multiple frauds, including the 24hrs contact support for GoPro plus customers which is fake. Refund Frauds I experienced, they claim PayPal payment takes 30 days to refund, which PayPal has denied and said the refund should be instant. Inefficient administration costed me lots of time and money wasted on talking to them trying to resolve issues made by them. Delayed delivery. Untraceable order ID.
How much does the GoPro cost?
You can't speak directly to them you have to request a call back which tells you within 2-5 mins your lucky if you get a call back the same day it's usually a day later. Would not recommend anyone buy from them . Customer service is nil, and when you do speak to someone they are like robots and think the situation is funny and laugh down the phone. Not happy. No product, no refund and an upset daughter missing her birthday presents. Doesn't look like it will be resolved before Xmas. Just wish I saw the reviews on them before purchasing online. I would have got the same deal at John Lewis or Currys.

Terrible customer service. I ordered the Hero 8 twice as he first order was cancelled by them. They told me there was a problem with my billing address, so I fixed that issue. After that, I did another order. However, they cancelled the order again. So, I reached out to them again to see what the problem was this time. Turned out they couldn't answer me that either and they have no visibility in why it got cancelled. I figured that I wouldn't get the cam on time for my upcoming trip, which was already very disappointing and annoying. Worse than that was that they don't really seem to care if I am or am not able to order from their website. I mean what am I supposed to do differently in my orderings if they keep cancelling them and not even the company itself can tell why.

I got every transcript from my chat. now it's time to go to police, as this comapny took 300+euros, and don't even care about return them. no proof of transaction, every agent put some "note, urgent flag" on this case, yet noone give a s... about it. I did not recive any update!
Is GoPro Audio good?
One small thing I noticed is that sometimes the camera doesn't sit perfectly horizontal when you connect it to a pole or mount. It's easy enough to fix -- manually set it level again and tighten the screw a little more -- but it tripped me up a few times in the beginning. In short, add a mental note to check that right after you check your lens for drops of water or dirt before shooting. There is a new "horizon lock" mode in the app that will fix lopsided video, but it's always better to get the shot right the first time.
From the lawsuit:The Ring system is Wi-Fi enabled, meaning that it will not work without internet connectivity. Once connected, however, any internet device can be seen by the on-line community, making it incumbent upon its manufacturer to design the device such that it can be properly secured for only intended use.Wifi enabled and Internet connected are two different things. Also the idea that 'any internet device can be seen by the on-line community' is like saying any car in a garage, could be driven by anyone with a license simply by virtue of it being a 'car'. Uhm, no. You need to get into the garage. People don't put their Ring devices on 'the internet'. They put them on their local networks, behind a router. Ring's problems are mainly that they don't force 2FA, allow more than one login to an account (HUGE issue) and allow continual failed logins without locking the account after a set number of attempts (Also HUGE issue, if not the WORST offense). But sadly the lawsuit barely mentions the latter two and instead focuses almost solely on the 2FA issue, which is where they are going to end up losing.Anyone can bring a suit up about ANYTHING and any lawyer will take it, because they usually don't do it on a pro bono basis so they get paid no matter what. But if you're going to sue Ring for negligence, at least hire a lawyer who knows what to sue them for. I'm not a fan of Ring, but these guys are barking up the wrong tree.
It's a simple idea, but one that makes you feel more confident you're in the right mode in a given situation. When I was heading out to ride an electric skateboard, for example, I would tap Activity. Later on a hike, I chose Standard as I was shooting mostly scenic or static shots. Beforehand I would often just leave the camera on 1080p/60 as my go-to. That worked fine, but having the taller shot of Activity while riding definitely makes it feel more engaging. The thing is, I knew this before but would either forget or think 1080 was fine and just stick with that.
To be fair to GoPro I placed by order on Friday afternoon and everything arrived courtesy of UPS Thursday afternoon. If I wanted to be fussy the order wasn't shipped until Tuesday afternoon (from Holland) and the website said 2-3 day delivery time but it's in the busy Christmas period, we've had Black Friday and so everything must be running at full capacity. Either way I'm satisfied that the camera came within an acceptable time frame.
